Located
a short drive from all major resorts, the Mauna Lani Spa is a unique function
venue on the Kohala Coast. Its design of
thatched hales set amongst lava “walls”
and grassy paths showcase natural plants and landscape.
Guests
are free to meander around the hales enjoying food and drink stations as well as
different treatments taking place in the hales. Just beyond the hales is the lawn with
two dramatic lava tubes. Lighting makes them
even more exciting as they create a
“stage” for a different entertainment vignettes.
Dancers just appear on top of
the massive lava tube and perform different numbers reflecting the wonders of nature,
Hawaii and the healing properties the land offers.
On
this lawn are tables scattered about for guests to relax in between their journeys
amidst the paths leading to the hales. The
lava burm creates an ideal location for some
“Hawaiian Graffiti” to promote the companies name or logo.
Lava
Saunas are an intimate place to relax with a beverage of choice and socialize with
friends.
For
larger groups, this grassy area connects with the swimming pool to offer substantial
space for seating of large groups. In
addition, a large covered lanai and a tennis court
offer additional space for seating, concerts or large events that could accommodate up
to several hundred or a thousand people. Consider
an orchestra on the tennis court or
perhaps an exhibition between two tennis greats!
In
the event a client does not wish to have a spa themed event, the setting offers an
elegant Hawaiian setting for an evening of food, drink and entertainment.
