Kailua-Kona
This beautiful historical site was built in
1838 as the summer home of Hawaiian royalty.
Perched directly on the ocean on Kailua Bay, it is constructed of lava rock, coral mortar,
ohia and koa timbers. The Daughters of Hawaii operate the home as a museum and
historical site and it is available for outdoor functions on the lawn. Guests will enjoy
exclusive use of the museum before exiting to the dramatic oceanfront lawn for a
dinner, lunch, afternoon tea or reception under swaying coconut trees. The Palace is
truly a cultural institution and a living symbol of the rich traditions of native
Hawaiians.
For a touch of old Hawaii in a breathtaking location, Hulihee Palace is the perfect venue
for any special event and can accommodate sit down dinners for several hundred and
stand up receptions for many more.

Located in Kailua-Kona on a bluff
overlooking the ocean and surrounded by the
natural beauty that only Konas premier nursery could provide, your function will
take on a truly unique feel. Small ponds, water plants, trickling fountains, fruit
trees, lush tropical foliage and giant palms highlight this unique venue. From
small intimate plated dinners in the main pavilion to larger events scattered
amongst the grounds, Hawaiian Gardens will surprise and delight you and your
clients!
Consider a spouse function with area
horticulturists leading tours throughout the
grounds followed by lunch. "A Taste of the Big Island" is another perfect event
suited to the venue as guests sample a taste of the islands while meandering
through the grounds.
