    WAIMEA'S PARKER RANCH (continued)

Puuopelu – Historical Home

This gracious home on some of the Parker Ranch’s choicest land was originally built in
1862 and was occupied in 1879 by John Palmer Parker II. Over the years additions have
expanded it to nearly 8,000 square feet. The French provincial interior provides the
perfect setting for past owner Richard Smart’s outstanding art collection. An expansive
terrace accents Puuopelu’s yellow "Hawaiian Victorian" exterior that overlooks picture
perfect surroundings – the rose garden, pond and ocean far below. Adjacent to
Puuopelu is the Mana Hale dating back over 150 years. The interior of this home is made
entirely of rare and beautiful koa wood and was originally the home of ranch founder
John Palmer Parker.
Your guests can tour the art collection and enjoy the music and
memorabilia of Richard Smart while enjoying beverages, hors d’oeuvres and dinner.
Seating for up to 120 guests make the home an exquisite setting for an elegant evening.

Puuopelu – Pond’s Edge

A short stroll through the garden down to the pond below offers a picturesque setting
that can accommodate up to 300 guests. Guests may enjoy lunch, dinner or a reception
and will be enchanted by the gorgeous grounds and elegant estate that is truly the
showpiece of Parker Ranch.

Puuopelu - Wash House

Enjoy a scenic lunch under the covered lanai overlooking the pond and Waimea's
lush green hills.  The back porch is a perfect setting for a casual buffet meal or gourmet
box lunch after touring the historic home and grounds.

Since you don't have to buy out the facility the site fees are less - making the back porch
the perfect alternative to a restaurant meal stop when in Waimea.  Why leave for lunch?

Rodeo Arena

Want to host a private rodeo for 1000 of your closest friends or business associates?
This is the place! The lush rolling hills of Waimea are the backdrop for a real Hawaiian
rodeo. The covered stands offer prime viewing of all the action, including: calf ribbon
tying, barrel racing, double mugging, bronc riding, flag race, team branding, team
roping and more. That is all after the "Pa’u" riders greet you, on horseback, each attired
in costumes representing each of the Hawaiian islands. Once the rodeo is finished, the
tent is open for the best darn Paniolo cuisine you have ever had! Line dancing
instructors will get you in the mood for dancing up a storm!
